Wefidence and Diane HolstenCongrats to Diane Holston (MA) on her purchase of the 7 year old imported KWPN Dutch Warmbloood mare Wefidence (Flemmingh x Beaujolais).  Wefidence is a fantastic mare with top breeding and super gaits and riding.  Look for Diane and "Wefi" at the shows in New England!  Best of luck and we look forward to hearing about them moving up the dressage levels and winning at the shows!

Valanta (Goodtimes x Houston) arrives in USA
Valanta (Goodtimes x Houston)Our mare Valanta Keur Elite (Goodtimes x Houston) has arrived in USA and is now in CEM quarantine at Brookside Equestrian Center in RI.  She is foal to the 6 year old 2009 World Dressage Champion stallion Westpoint (Jazz x Michelangelo) due Feb 27, 2010.  She gets out of quarantine Feb 22, so we hope she holds out until she gets home.  We are so excited to have her home.  She is a sweet mare with 3 big gaits.  We already have a fantastic filly from her and look forward to this top foal.  The Goodtimes mares are super for breeding and prove all over the world their worth in gold.  We have 3 of them right now and feel very lucky!

Makenzi & ZemMakenzi Wendel came to us last year as an intern from the University of New Hampshire Equine program. After graduation we hired her as a rider.  She had been riding the imported geldings Washington (Orame x Animo) and Zem (Krack C x Goodtimes).  Frenk Jespers from Holland raved about Makenzi's riding when she rode Zem (Krack C x Goodtimes) in his clinic in 2009.

Makenzi rides KWPN stallion Navarone
Navarone (Jus de Pomme x Armstrong) jumping with MakenziWe decided with the change of riders, Makenzi's desire for jumping and our stallion Navarone (Jus de Pomme x Armstrong) recovered now from his injury last October that this is a great time to put Navarone back in jumping. He has proved he can do the Grand Prix dressage and will be fun to have him show off his talents in the jumper ring again.  Already Navarone is producing many Grand Prix jumpers and Eventers.  He will be a good teacher for Makenzi to move up the jumping levels.

Navarone and Makenzi jumping for the first time together Feb 13, 2010 with a small exercise lesson with Gretchen Anderson.  This was the first time jumping for Navarone in 6 years!  He LOVED it and was very excited.  Makenzi said he was a lot of fun and very quick.  She is going to enjoy being on a horse that already knows his job.  Gretchen enjoys working with Makenzi and we with Gretchen.  It will be a lot of fun for jumping in 2010  Check out more pictures of Navarone jumping on his web page.

Makenzi is also riding our stallion Schroeder (Sandro Hit x Escudo I) and training with Grand Prix riders/trainers Jane Karol and Cindi Wylie.  Kathy Connelly is also looking forward to working with Makenzi and Schroeder when she is back in the spring.  Makenzi and Schroeder are working hard to do the 6 year old tests this year.  Check out more pictures of Makenzi and Schroeder riding on his web page.  Does he have a good hind leg and can sit or what? 

Along with the stallions, Makenzi is also working with the breaking and training of the young horses at Majestic Gaits.  She has been working with our mare Zakarla (Navarone x Telstar) and doing a great job.  She just started trotting her on her own this past week.  It wont be long!

Come see us at the 2nd annual Pineland Farms Stallion Show, March 27, 2010 at the Pineland Equestrian Center in New Gloucester, ME.

We will have Navarone, Schroeder and Farrington.  Makenzi Wendel will debut riding Navarone and Schroeder.

Enzo & Ella
Congrats to Linda Mascola who purchased both Enzo (Schroeder), and Ella (Farrington) from Jennifer Verhulst, Farley Farms, Canada. 

Linda reported "I have had both Enzo and Ella for about a month now.  Both Enzo and Ella are doing extremely well. 

Enzo (Schroeder) is the most correct foal I have ever seen.  He is a very dark bay; almost black, and what a sweet nature.  I love him so much.  He just turned 6 months old on the 25th of December.

Ella (Farrington) has legs that go on forever, and is a bright chestnut color, absolutely beautiful, and incredibly correct.  She has the most feminine filly look that no one would ever mistake her for a colt.  I absolutely adore her."

Wittinger (Indoctro x Nimmerdor)
Wittinger VDL (Indoctro x Nimmerdor) was Champion of the KWPN Stallion competition at the 1.35m class. Wittinger showed his fantastic canter and great gallop in the final round. They made a double clear round and placed 3rd in the jump-off. With this result they won the total Competition.
Beneventian MG (Flemmingh x Zeoliet)
It is always good to hear how our foals are growing and doing.  Benevential MG is owned by Nicole Tatusko (GA) and look how he has grown.  Nicole is getting ready to start him under saddle.  Can't wait to hear how fantastic they are doing.  Congrats on such a nice horse Nicole!

Sambertino (Samber x Wellington)
Sambertino (Samber x Wellington) Sambertino (Samber-Wellington) has very few frozen doses left here and after that there wont be anymore.  So, if your thinking of breeding to him this year.  Get your order in now.  His famous sire Samber passed away recently and this is a great chance to get some of that fantastic blood.  Sambertino produces a nice dressage horse with super characters.  Some updates on offspring:

Renatino (Sambertino - Droomwals) bay mare owned & ridden by Gundi Younger in the US.  2009 was the first time foreigners were allowed to compete in the USDF Regional Championships & Renatino won:
- CHAMPION: USDF Region 7 Intermediare 1 Amateur Championships
- CHAMPION: CDS Championship Intermediare 1 (Amateur)
 
Samaii (Sambertino - Brentano II) 6 yr old colored Oldenburg Premium stallion, is now life approved Oldenburg, ZfdP, Rhineland, Westfalen, all South German studbooks & Danish Warmblood.   He will be competing at M level in Germany this year & his full sister born in 2009 was awarded a foal Premium at her Oldenburg branding.
 
100% of Sambertino's foals were awarded First Premiums with the British Equestrian Federation Futurity in 2009.

Welcome Leah Jamieson to the MG Team

Leah and Ade LenteWelcome to Leah Jamieson to the Majestic Gaits team as our bookkeeper.  Leah is a professional bookkeeper but also a professional dressage rider and trainer.  She has done very well with her young mare Ade Lente (Freestyle x Cabochon).   She owns and operates Laurelwood Farm in Townsend, MA.

Don Ricoss (Don Federico x Weltmeyer)
The Hanoverian stallionDon Ricoss (Don Federico x Weltmeyer) Don Ricoss ( Don Frederico-Weltmeyer) is now ranked 2nd as a Dressage Sire by the British Equestrian Federation, with 100% First Premium & Elite progeny for 2 years running.  His offspring have also been very successful in France winning several foal Championships, with 6 of them qualifying for the French Breeding Championships in Saumur. His offspring are doing well too:

Déjà vu LH (Don Ricoss - Hohenstein - World Cup) placed 3rd  in the highly contested 2yr old colt class, with the highest trot scores overall.

Don Ricoss will be competing at Prix St George later this year.  Check out this fabulous black stallion. We have frozen stocked for you to also have a top breeding from these famous Hanoverian lines. 
Colleen O'Connor-Dzik leaves Majestic Gaits
Sadly, Colleen O'Connor-Dzik is no longer riding for Majestic Gaits.  Colleen has moved on to training and instruction on her own.  We wish her the best in her endeavors.  We have enjoyed 7+ good years with Colleen and enjoyed seeing her move up the levels with our stallion Navarone (Jus de Pomme x Armstrong) to Grand Prix Dressage.  She did a fantastic job starting the horses here at Majestic Gaits.  If your looking for someone to train your horse, we highly recommend her.  She can be contacted at (508) 334-8775 or janesaddic@aol.com
