Durango was the first of many approved sons of the Keur- stallion Zirocco Blue VDL. Zirocco Blue, ridden by Jur Vrieling, won Team Gold at the Exuropean Championship and placed individually in 5th place. Grand sire Lux jumped at Grand Prix level and won the Triple Crown as well as becoming the sire of many good jumpers like Utascha and Tornesch. Next in the line is Lucky Boy xx, one of the key improvement thoroughbreds used in the sport horse breeding, especially if found in the mare line. Examples are offspring Calypso and Van Gogh.

Durango is from a proven mother line with many ‘predicates’. Dam Narona carries ‘Ster, Preferent and Prestatie’. In addition to Durango she is also dam of the 1.35m jumper Silvio. Grand dam Rebekka is ‘Ster, Preferent and Prestatie’ and is dam of the international jumper Opstalan’s Power. From this dam line also come the international jumping horses and approved stallions Torlando, Roadrunner, Uleika and Bon Ami.
